As I have been living in the west for 30 years and come from India, I usually take interest in things about India but perhaps my viewpoint remains more western rooted. I certainly wish India to be growing and reaching bigger places in its economic, cultural, sporting, political or science arenas.

I take interest in lots of different areas like politics, history, archaeology, geography, astronomy, science, arts(paintings old and modern), languages(old and new), computers, medicines (biochemistry, bio-medicines – genetics etc),  industry, finance, economy. I enjoy movies and music from both east and west, cooking, gardening, exercising and health matters. When I try to detail my interests in all spheres, I immediately worry about information overload – perhaps I have been unable to adjust when too much of information explosion is taking place since internet era began in’90s. I understand the need to limit my interests areas for which I ‘ll need more discipline in that regard. But irrespective of it all, my love for India overrides most things and I keep thinking about it the most and therefore focus on it more in writing.
